National Science and Technology Museum
Nigeria, one of Africa’s major technological and industry power-houses, continues its growth into the 21st century and beyond. The country has an early history of established leadership, along with continuing development in areas of transportation, communication, etc.
In wanting to document its history and inspire its future, the Nigerian Federal Government through its Federal Ministry of Science and Technology invited limited number of qualified international architectural teams to submit design proposals.
Our design approach in this solution marries the warmth of the strong local tradition and culture with the simplicity of modern technology. With a laudable goal of transforming Nigeria into a knowledge based economy and culture, the museum is a beacon to younger generations looking toward future endeavors in science and technology. The museum will feature a National Hall of Fame celebrating the achievements of Nigerian scientists that inspire inquiry and innovation among the youth, as well as various exhibits on biology, ecology, geology, physics, and astronomy.
The Collaborative of GO Architects and Ab.Dt awaits the selection of the winning design.
