Nigeria, one of Africa's major technological and industrial powerhouses, continues to expand well into the twenty-first century and beyond. To document its history and inspire its future, the Federal Government of Nigeria, through its Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation invited a limited number of qualified multinational design teams to submit design proposals.
Our collaborative design approach with ab.dt Architects combines the warmth of the strong, local tradition and culture with the simplicity of modern technology. With the admirable goal of transforming Nigeria into a knowledge-based economy and culture, the museum will serve as a beacon for future endeavors in science and technology. The museum will include a National Hall of Fame honoring the accomplishments of Nigerian scientists who inspire youth inquiry and innovation, as well as exhibits on biology, ecology, geology, physics, and astronomy.
